After Offset pleaded with the ‘Bodak Yellow’ artist to take him back during her set at LA’s Rolling Loud festival last night, Cardi has told fans to stop “bashing” the rapper online.
During the Instagram post, Cardi referenced Pete Davidson and the negative effect social media is having on his mental health.
“Earlier you just saw how Pete Davidson was talking about how he don’t even wanna be on this earth because mad people be coming at him every single day,” she said.
“I wouldn’t want my baby-father to have that feeling because of millions of people be bashing him every day. That’s a nasty feeling and I wouldn’t want that.”
Cardi B added: “I don’t like that bullshit because I know how painful it is when you have millions of people bashing you every single day.
“I don’t like that and it doesn’t make me feel any better.”
During Cardi’s show last night, Offset brought out flowers and a cake set up that had the message “Take Me Back Cardi”. Cardi B looked visibly uncomfortable and exchanged a few words off-mic with her ex before the set was quickly removed. Offset left the stage as fans cheered for Cardi’s reaction.
Last week, Cardi referenced the split with Offset during a performance in New York. “I get up set off / I turn Offset on / I told him the other day / Yeah, we gon’ get a divorce,” she rapped during ‘Motorsport’.
Meanwhile, Cardi B recently found out about her Grammy nomination just moments after leaving court. “This is not how [I] expected to find out I am nominated for a Grammy,” she posted. “I need a do over.”
