Cardi B has announced that she has cancelled a number of live dates following news of her pregnancy.
During her Saturday Night Live performance earlier this month, Cardi publicly revealed that she is pregnant. While performing ‘Be Careful’, the camera panned out to show the rapper’s baby bump in her white gown, prompting cheers from the audience.
Now, explaining in an Instagram video that she wanted to make matters “a little clearer” for fans, Cardi announced that her set at Broccoli City Festival in Washington DC this weekend will be her “last performance for a little while” because “shawty keep growing”.
Saying that she can “barely breathe” at the moment, Cardi also confirmed that she will be back on the run for her tour supporting Bruno Mars in North America during September.
Cancelled dates include shows in the US, Norway and Ireland. Cardi had already pulled out of her Wireless Festival appearance.

Cardi B released her debut album ‘Invasion of Privacy’ on April 6.
Upon its release, NME hailed Cardi’s album as “a confident and compelling debut from the Bronx rapper”.
“Overall, this is a remarkably confident and compelling debut from a superstar who’s put in the graft”, NME‘s verdict stated.
