Cardi B announces her first live show after the birth of her first child

The Bronx-born rapper welcomed a daughter in July

Cardi B has announced her return to the stage after giving birth to her first child last month.

The rapper, along with husband and Migos member Offset – welcomed their daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus in July. Following the birth of Kulture, Cardi B cancelled her tour dates with Bruno Mars.

She was originally set to open for Mars during his September but pulled out. “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” she wrote in a tweet.

“I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”

Mars responded with his own message, writing, “We love you Cardi and we will play ‘Bodak Yellow’ every night in your honour.”

Now, Cardi B has revealed when she will be returning to the stage – by headlining San Antonio’s Mala Luna Festival. The event takes place from October 27-28 at Nelson Wolff Stadium while Tyler, the Creator, Lil Pump, Becky G and Nick Jam are also on the line-up. You can see the full line-up below.

Cardi and Offset were recently revealed to have secretly gotten married in September – one month before the Migos star proposed onstage in Philadelphia.

Meanwhile, St. Vincent recently remixed the Cardi B and Maroon 5 track ‘Girls Like You’. Posting the remix on her Instagram, Annie Clark wrote: “HAD THE BEST TIME MAKING THIS MAROON 5/CARDI B REMIX. THANKS TO THEM FOR HAVING ME. LOTS OF DILLA SAMPLES MAKING THE BEAT AND LOTS OF DANCING ALONE IN MY STUDIO. MIXED BY MY GIRL LAURA SISK.”
