Carly Rae Jepsen launches ‘Boy Problems’ video – watch

The track is taken from the Canadian's third album 'Emotion'

Carly Rae Jepsen has released a video for ‘Boy Problems’, taken from her third album ‘Emotion’.

‘Emotion’ was released in June 2015 to critical acclaim, with ‘I Really Like You’, ‘Run Away With Me’ and ‘Your Type’ launched as singles.

The new ‘Boy Problems’ video was directed by Petra Collins, who contacted the singer with a view to making a video specifically for the track.

“She [Collins] reached out to ask if she could make a video for her favorite track from the album: ‘Boy Problems,’” Jepsen said. “I think she has a very gifted eye for a refreshing look at youth and beauty, and the way she plays with color always stands out to me. So the answer was an immediate YES!”

Jepsen performed ‘All I Need is an Angel’ as part of Grease! Live recently.

Fox’s live production of the 1971 production, which was made into a film in 1978 starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, was broadcast on January 31.

The live version began with Jessie J singing ‘Grease Is The Word’ and included individual numbers for cast members including Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough, Joe Jonas and Jepsen. The latter performed as Frenchy and sang ‘All I Need is An Angel’, written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. The original Frenchy (Didi Conn) made a cameo appearance alongside Jepsen.
