Jepsen also performed her own single 'Run Away With Me' during the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session
Carly Rae Jepsen has performed a stripped back cover of Years & Years’ ‘King’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
The pop star was a guest on Clara Amfo’s BBC Radio 1 show today (September 17) where she also performed an acoustic version of her own single ‘Run Away With Me’, taken from her third album ‘Emotion’ released at the end of August.

The video sees Bieber dancing to the track alongside friends including Ariana Grande, Grande’s elder brother Frankie, model Kendall Jenner and his dad.
Meanwhile, Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander recently spoke out about the lyrics to pop songs sung by gay men.
“It is kind of sad to me that we don’t have gay pop stars singing about men using a male pronoun, but that could change, hopefully,” the singer told Digital Spy.
“I’d like to hear a gay artist express their sexuality in a really open way. That’s something I’ve sort of tried to do a little bit on this album, but to be able to talk about sex is possibly new for gay artists, so I’d like to see that in the mainstream.”
The electronic trio beat James Bay and Stormzy to top the BBC Sound Of 2015 poll in January.
