French disco pioneer Cassius is to collaborate with soul veteran JOCELYN BROWN.
Cassius has been working on the follow-up to last year’s ‘1999’ album for the last few months. A spokesperson told nme.com that a new single, ‘I’m A Woman’ will precede the as-yet-untitled new album, which is expected to be released in the new year.
The single features guest vocals from soul singer Jocelyn Brown – who is best known for the single ‘Somebody Else’s Guy’.
In other French dance news, Daft Punk‘s Thomas Bangalter has recently released a new solo single ‘Together’, through his own Roule label.
A spokesperson for Daft Punk told nme.com that the band’s new album will not be released before the new year.
