The Catatonia frontwoman appears on S4C tonight...

CATATONIA frontwoman CERYS MATTHEWS is to give an exclusive interview about the band’s new album to a Welsh-language TV programme tonight (May 25).

Cerys – a fluent Welsh speaker – is the special guest on magazine show ‘Heno’, which is aired at 6.10pm on S4C – the Welsh version of Channel 4.

The programme will also be screening exclusive live footage from last month’s low-key Catatonia gig at Northampton Roadmenders, in front of just 900 people.

Presenter Emyr Penlan said: “It was obvious that Cerys was so excited to get back onstage.

“I also asked about Catatonia‘s new album. They love it, they think it’s great.”

Cerys is also quizzed about her relationship with Tom Jones and on her move from Cardiff to London.

The programme is in Welsh, but subtitles are available on teletext for English-speaking viewers.
