The remaining members of Catatonia are planning to continue writing and recording new material, without vocalist CERYS MATTHEWS.
Catatonia split last year following the release of their album ‘Paper Scissors Stone’, and after Matthews received treatment for “exhaustion”.
Now, speaking to the [url=]Western Mail newspaper, drummer Aled Richards said the remaining members are still working together.
He commented: “We’re still together. We’ve never stopped writing. I know the last album wasn’t received all that well by some people but it came out the same week that Cerys went in for treatment, and at the end of the day, her health was more important.
“We’ve been offered some studio time so we’ll be looking to do some recording sometime soon.”
The remaining members are not planning to release any material under the name Catatonia.
