Catatonia have announced details of a 30,000-capacity outdoor show at Margam Park, Port Talbot, on Saturday, May 29, 1999. The gig will be the largest ever open-air event in Wales.
Catatonia will also appear at the Prince’s Trust’s 50th birthday party at the London Lyceum Theatre on Wednesday, October 28, where they will perform a version of ‘International Velvet’ backed by a 100-strong Welsh male voice choir.
Finally, Catatonia, whose new single ‘Game On’ is released on Monday, October 26, have been awarded the Welsh Communicator Of The Year Award by the Institute of Public Relations in Wales. The award, which acknowledges those seen to most promote the country and the language over the past 12 months, has previously been won by Anthony Hopkins and Aled Jones.
