Cee Lo Green promises ‘sexified’ showgirls and magic at Las Vegas residency

The shows start in August at the Planet Hollywood casino in Nevada

Cee Lo Green has said that his forthcoming Las Vegas residency will feature showgirls and pyrotechnics.

The flamboyant shows – called Cee Lo Green Presents Loberace – will kick off this summer on August 29 at the Planet Hollywood casino in the Nevada town. The residency will run to at least 28 shows, reports Associated Press, with performances booked until the end of December.

Producers of the show have said that the gigs will include “mind-twisting magic and sexified showgirls”. Cee Lo Green follows in the footsteps of Celine Dion, Motley Crue, Elton John and Carlos Santana with his plans for a residency in the gambling capital of the world.

It was recently revealed that Cee Lo Green will releasing his memoirs in 2013. Billboard reports that the ‘Forget You’ singer has struck up a book deal with Grand Central Publishing to pen his life story, with the tome set to be co-written by Rolling Stone scribe David Wild.

In a statement, Green said: “FORGET YOU? After reading my book, there will be no doubt that I am meant to be. You will enter into the supernatural, the surreal, and extraordinary.”

Green released his last solo album ‘The Lady Killer’ in November 2010, and is also currently appearing as a judge on the US reality TV show The Voice. He joined Madonna onstage for her half-time show at the Super Bowl last month.
