Chance The Rapper and Lil B release ‘Free Based Freestyles Mixtape’ – listen

"Conceived from magic, love, acid and bases"

Chance The Rapper and Lil B have dropped their new joint project, ‘Free Based Freestyles Mixtape’. Click below to listen.

The two MCs announced the release via social media last month but revealed very few details, though Chance did later call it “a masterpiece”. Today (August 5), the pair have surprise posted the six-track set to Soundcloud.

“It’s called #Free and yes it’s real,” wrote Chance via Instagram. “Conceived from magic, love, acid and bases. We made this the moment we met.”

‘Free Based Freestyles Mixtape’ is Chance’s first release since completing work on Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s debut album ‘Surf’. The band also consists of Trumpet (Nico Segal), Peter Cottontale, Greg Landfair Jr and Nate Fox, while the LP, released in May, features guest spots from Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monáe and Erykah Badu.

Lil B was in the news in January when an electrical fire broke out in his apartment building home, spreading throughout the two-story complex in Contra Costa County, California. The BasedGod was unharmed, however, after 15-year-old resident Mateo Ysmael ran through the building to wake everyone up.
