Chance The Rapper pens and stars in new Kit Kat jingle

Have a break, have a quick rap

Chance The Rapper has written the new theme for the Kit Kat chocolate bar.

The announcement came through a tweet from the company alongside a photo of the rapper in his Coloring Book hat, donning a bear suit and holding a Kit Kat with his face on it. Kit Kat says the new jingle will be “dropping soon.”

Kanye West recently made a surprise appearance at Chance’s Magnificent Coloring Day festival.

The event took place at Chicago’s US Cellular Field and was completely organised by Chance himself. The line-up featured the likes of Skrillex, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys and more.

West stopped by the festival to perform a medley of some of his hits from throughout his career, including ‘Black Skinhead’, ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’, ‘Touch The Sky’, ‘Gold Digger’, ‘Father Stretch My Hand Pt. 1’ and ‘Pt. 2’, and his verse from Schoolboy Q’s ‘THat Part’.

After the medley was over, Chance joined him on stage to perform ‘Ultralight Beam’, the opening track of West’s most recent album ‘The Life Of Pablo‘, together. “I’m so proud of this young man right here, for putting all of this together,” West told the crowd.

Meanwhile, West cut short a concert in New York after his wife Kim Kardashian was involved in an incident at a Paris hotel in which she was held at gunpoint.

The rapper was performing at the Meadows Festival in New York City on Sunday night (October 2), departing the stage during a rendition of his song ‘Heartless’, citing to the crowd a “family emergency”.

A spokesperson has since said: “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
