Charli XCX announces 2015 UK tour details

'Boom Clap' singer set to hit the road following release of new album 'Sucker'

Charli XCX has announced details of a major UK tour to take place in April and May next year.

The tour will follow the release of her new album ‘Sucker’, which was recently delayed until January 24 next year. Tweeting about the delay, the singer stated that the success of the single ‘Boom Clap’ meant that a new date was necessary to “launch the album properly”.

Starting in Brighton on April 24, the tour will then visit London, Glasgow, Sheffield, Oxford, Manchester and Nottingham before ending in Birmingham on May 2. Tickets for all dates go on sale at 9am on Friday (November 7). Scroll down for full venue and ticket details.

Speaking to NME about ‘Sucker’ earlier this year, Charli XCX said she’d be using the LP to establish herself as a solo artist, after duetting with Iggy Azalea and writing for Icona Pop. “I can write a fucking hit song,” she said. “And I’m going to write some for me now. I feel like as an artist I’ve done so many collaborations now that I think I just want to take this record for myself.”

‘Sucker’ follows 2013’s ‘True Romance’.

Charli XCX will play:

Brighton, Concorde 2 (April 24)
London, Shepherds Bush Empire (25)
Glasgow, QMU (27)
Sheffield, Plug (28)
Oxford, O2 Academy (30)
Manchester, Academy 2 (31)
Nottingham, Rescue Rooms (May 1)
Birmingham, The Institute (2)
