Chase And Status: ‘Piss will be thrown when we play Download’

The dance duo admit they are likely to get bottled

Chase and Status have predicted they will get bottles of urine thrown at them when they play this year’s Download festival – click above to watch our video interview.

The DJ duo have joined the festival bill, which will be headlined by The Prodigy, Metallica and a reunited Black Sabbath, and will take place over the weekend of June 8-10 at Donington Park.

Will Kennard from the group told NME: “Someone said we’re going to get a bottle of piss thrown at us, so I’m looking forward to that. It’s a full on rock festival so you know that’s a part of our show, we’re going to bring that out and bring the madness.

Chase And Status – who attended the Brit Awards ceremony last week after being nominated for Best British Group – are part of a Download festival line-up which already includes Biffy Clyro, Soundgarden, Rise Against, You Me At Six and Tenacious D.

Chase And Status’ second album ‘No More Idols’ was the seventeenth biggest-selling album of 2011 in the UK, with sales exceeding 461,000 copies. The duo are currently working on their ‘darker’ third studio album, due for release in 2012.
