Kevin Parker had previously produced London’s 2016 song ‘Whiplash’. Now, having been teasing the track for a while before airing it live, now the blissed-out wave of tropical dream-pop and R&B has now arrived – complete with a surreal and summery video featuring the duo performing.
Tame Impala have been working on their new album for some time now, with Kevin Parker saying earlier this year that he would be ‘very disappointed’ if the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Currents’ is not out by next summer.
“I would very much hope so [to release a new Tame Impala record in summer 2019], I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t have something out by then,” he said. “I mean, I love playing the songs live, I love playing ‘Currents’ songs, I love playing ‘Lonerism’ songs and everything, but I think I’m ready to play some other songs live. All the instinctual things are there.”
Meanwhile, Parker also recently responded to Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner’s request to collaborate together – adding that “anything is possible”.
