The Chemical Brothers unveil new video for ‘C-H-E-M-I-C-A-L’

Check out the trippy visuals here first

The Chemical Brothers have unveiled the epic video for new single ‘C-H-E-M-I-C-A-L’. Watch it first on NME below.

Keeping in the spirit of the duo’s mind-expanding and trippy live shows, the visuals were created and directed by long-time collaborator Adam Smith at RSA – made up of distorted images from childrens’ TV shows as shapes shift through one long dance led by the rave icons.

The track is the first new material from duo Tom Rowlands and Ed Simon since their eighth album, ‘Born in the Echoes’, was released last year.

‘C-h-e-m-i-c-a-l’ comes a few weeks after The Chemical Brothers announced that they were reissuing a number of their albums on vinyl.

The duo’s 1999 album ‘Surrender’ and 2015 effort ‘Born In The Echoes’ are already available to purchase in the physical format, but their six other studio albums will all be reissued on vinyl in the UK on November 18.

The band said on their website: “Each release features 180g heavyweight double LP vinyl re-packaged in the original sleeve pressing artwork. Audio has been cut from the original lacquers directly from the studio of the original engineer, Mike Marsh, and fully approved by The Chemical Brothers’ Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands.”

The Chemical Brothers will also play a short series of UK live shows this December in support of ‘Born In The Echoes’. Kicking off at Glasgow’s SECC on December 7, the tour is completed with dates at Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom on December 9 and London’s Eventim Apollo on December 10 and 11.
