The legendary band will welcome in 2018 with a big show in London as part of the BBC's annual NYE coverage
Chic Feat. Nile Rodgers have announced a special London show on New Year’s Eve.
The legendary disco band will welcome in 2018 with a celebratory show at Central Hall Westminster in the capital on December 31.
The gig, which is being billed as ‘Good Times’, will see Rodgers and his band play into the New Year with a hit-packed set, with the show also set to be broadcast live by the BBC.
Speaking about the show, Rodgers said: “This is a great way to end our 40th year in a spectacular fashion and kick off a new year that will start with the release of the first new Chic music in years and the new album. Good Times are coming in 2018!”
Guy Freeman, editor of special events at BBC Studios, added: “I am over the moon that Nile and Chic will be heading up our New Year’s Eve celebrations. With a host of timeless disco party classics on their setlist, I am sure that living rooms up and down the land will be boogieing along until the wee small hours!”
Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday (November 24) from here.
Back in August, Rodgers was forced to miss a Chic gig for the first time ever after being hospitalised.
