Chart-toppers CHICANE have revealed that they can’t stand their single ‘DON’T GIVE UP’, the Bryan Adams collaboration that took them to Number One in March.

Speaking to nme.com at the launch of Creamfields England, Chicane‘s Nick Bracegirdle moaned: “I can’t listen to it anymore! It’s great that it’s being played to death, but I can’t get away from it on the radio. I suppose every time it gets played I get paid, but I’m sick to death of the bloody thing.

“It’s a bit bizarre. I feel like quite an underdog still, I’m not one for this pop star nonsense. I’m just not comfortable being a pop star, I’m much more of a behind the scenes person.”

He also revealed that he had been approached by Aqua to remix one of their songs, but turned it down because of promotional duties and producing the new album from Bryan Adams, who he described as “a complete fruit-loop”. He also said he intends to work a William Orbit-style miracle on the record.

He commented: “I’m not turning him into a dance monster, but if you had to draw a comparison, it would be along the lines of what William Orbit has done with Madonna. Electronica, you could say.”

Creamfields England takes place at Old Speke Airfield, Liverpool, on August 26.
