Chris Brown to star in romantic comedy

Singer to take the lead in 'Think Like A Man' two years after Rihanna assault

Chris Brown is to star in a new romantic comedy, two years after assaulting Rihanna.

The R&B singer has been cast in Think Like a Man, a film adaptation of self-help book by comedian Steve Harvey, reports The Guardian.

The original title of Harvey‘s book was Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy and Commitment. The non-fiction book will be transformed into a love story starring Brown and Gabrielle Union. It is set to be released in April next year.

On 8 February 2009 Brown attacked Rihanna, shoving the singer’s head against the window of his car, repeatedly punching and biting her. He put her in a headlock and she almost lost consciousness.

He also reportedly yelled at her: “I’m going to beat the shit out of you when we get home. You wait and see.”

The alleged attack happened after Rihanna read a text message from a woman on Brown’s phone. He tried to push her out of the car, a rented Lamborghini, but she was wearing a seatbelt.

The police notes said there was blood spattered on Rihanna’s clothing and the interior of the car.

Rihanna apparently called her assistant telling her to have the police waiting when she got home and Brown reportedly said: “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you.”
