Drake and Chris Brown set to sue each other over nightclub fight

Pair reportedly got into a scuffle over Rihanna in New York club

Drake and Chris Brown are set to sue each other over their fight in a New York nightclub last June.

According to TMZ, both parties have filed lawsuits accusing the other one of being responsible for the scuffle, in which the two artists and their entourages were reported to have started throwing punches and bottles in the W. i. P club. The argument, which resulted in a gash on Chris Brown’s chin, was alleged to have broken out over Rihanna.

Last August, Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., which owns the nightclub, filed a $16million (£10.2million) lawsuit against Brown and Drake, claiming that it lost a lucrative licensing deal because of bad press as a result of the fight. NBA player Tony Parker has also filed a $20 million (£13 million) lawsuit against the club’s owners after claiming he received an eye injury from the fight.

Last summer, a model named Romain Julien also filed a lawsuit against the pair and the club itself, claiming he was injured in the fracas. TMZ claims that both rappers have now filed legal documents accusing the other one of being responsible for the brawl, so the judge can determine who must pay damages in the Julien case should he win.
