Chris Brown concert poster defaced and replaced with Rihanna’s battered face

Anonymous group campaign for forthcoming concert in Sweden to be cancelled

A poster promoting a forthcoming Chris Brown gig in Sweden has been defaced and replaced with a photo of Rihanna’s battered face in 2009.

The image (below), which was famously leaked by TMZ after the rapper attacked his ex-girlfriend on the eve of the Grammys, appeared on a banner for Brown’s forthcoming appearance at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe Arena on November 19.

The image was publicised by an anonymous group on the Twitter account @Sweden, who want the concert to be cancelled. Earlier this year, copies of Brown’s new album ‘Fortune’ were defaced in branches of HMV. The guerrilla action group Abuse Sticks Out added advisory labels warning people not to buy the LP because he “beats women”.

The singer himself has also courted controversy in recent months after he tested positive for cannabis while on probation, donned a Taliban costume on Halloween and sparked a backlash over the new ‘zombie woman’ tattoo on his neck bearing a striking resemblance to the bruised face of Rihanna.

Brown separated from his ex-girlfriend Rihanna after he assaulted her in February 2009. The pair sparked controversy after they teamed up for a remix of Rihanna’s track ‘Birthday Cake’ earlier this year. The pair have recorded a duet entitled ‘Nobody’s Business’ for Rihanna’s upcoming seventh studio album ‘Unapologetic’, which is also released on November 19.
