The Emmy award-winning programme has welcomed a whole host of stars since it first premiered in 2009.
Martin showed up in Wednesday’s episode (Nov 29) playing himself. In the first clip, Martin is seen making fun of his attire, saying to ‘wear a short-sleeved t-shit over a long-sleeved one so people know you have multiple shirts.’ You can watch the clip below.
Later, Martin sings a song for a hospitalized Phil Dunphy (played by Ty Burrell) and also turns up to place some ice on Dunphy’s balls. You can watch those clips below.
Earlier this week, U2 frontman Bono teamed up with Martin on Jimmy Kimmel Live to cover ‘One for My Baby (and One More for the Road)’, with a special cameo from actor Sean Penn.
The US late-night show aired a special episode on Tuesday (November 28) in support of AIDS charity RED. During the episode, Bono and Martin covered the Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer song that was popularised by Frank Sinatra.
Earlier this month (Nov 17), it was also reported that Coldplay‘s ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ world tour was the third highest grossing world tour of all time.
The run kicked of in March 2016, following Coldplay’s SuperBowl half-time show. Since then, it has taken $523,033,675 in ticket sales, with Coldplay playing to 5,389,586 fans across 114 shows in 76 cities and 31 countries. The tour took in two legs in Latin America, two in Europe, two in North America, one in Australia, and one in Asia.
