The girls' version of disco anthem 'Lady Marmalade' has been recorded for inclusion on Baz Luhrmann's new movie 'Moulin Rouge'...

CHRISTINA AGUILERA, LIL’ KIM, PINK and MYA have a recorded a cover of ‘LADY MARMALADE (VOULEZ-VOUS COUCHER AVEC MOI CE SOIR?)’ for inclusion on the soundtrack to BAZ ‘ROMEO & JULIET’ LUHRMANN’s forthcoming feature ‘MOULIN ROUGE’.

The track, produced by Missy Elliott and Rockwilder, will be the first single lifted from the soundtrack, due to be released in the US on April 24. The quartet join Fatboy Slim, Beck and Timbaland, who have already contributed to the album. Both Beck and Timbaland have recorded a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Diamond Dogs’, while Fatboy Slim, as exclusively revealed previously on NME.COM, has put together a techno version of the Cancan.

‘Moulin Rouge’, starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman, tells the tale of the infamous Belle Epoque Parisian nightspot using contemporary and period music. It opens nationwide in the US during May.
