Christine & The Queens teases new single ‘Doesn’t Matter’ coming tomorrow

The track's lyrics were shared on Twitter

Christine & The Queens has teased a new single called ‘Doesn’t Matter’, which will arrive tomorrow (July 5).

The French artist, whose real name is Héloïse Letissier, is set to release the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed debut album ‘Chaleur Humaine‘, later this year.

She has already shared one track from the new record in ‘Girlfriend‘. ‘Doesn’t Matter’ will be premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show tomorrow at 5pm BST. Letissier has also shared the track’s lyrics on her Twitter page, revealing the chorus to be: “It doesn’t matter, does it/If I know any exit/If I believe in God and if God does exist.”

Yesterday (July 3), the artwork for the upcoming record was revealed. It features Letissier surrounded by scrawled yellow lines and the name “Chris” also scrawled in yellow. The title has yet to be confirmed but it has been suggested from the artwork that it could be called ‘Chris’. It will be released on September 21.

On her Twitter account and in an image on her Instagram page, the “-tine and the Queens” bit of her moniker has been struck out, leaving just “Chris”. Of this, the musician said: “It’s interesting, the process of striking something out. It’s perverting something, but you don’t make it disappear.”

Meanwhile, Christine & The Queens are due to head out on tour later this year. Tickets for the UK shows are available here.
