The Scottish three-piece released their third album ‘Love is Dead’ back in May, which NME described as managing to “balance hopeful, utopian pop with a darker, gloomier undercurrent.”
The band stopped by triple j’s Like A Version – a segment on an Australian radio station that sees bands perform live covers – to put their own spin on the Lamar track. You can watch it below.
It’s the latest cover from the band, after they recorded a rendition of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ as part of a live session for the ‘Spotify Singles’ series in New York City.
In 2016, they also performed the Calvin Harris-penned smash ‘This Is What You Came For’ during an appearance in Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
Meanwhile, the band have announced an all-new UK and Ireland tour for 2019. Chvrches – who played at the London festival Citadel earlier this week (July 15) – will return to the UK in February for the new set of tour dates, which will kick off at London’s Alexandra Palace on February 7. The jaunt will also visit such cities as Birmingham, Manchester and their home of Glasgow, before the tour concludes with a gig at Dublin’s Olympia on February 21.
Tickets for the gigs went on sale today (July 20) at 9am – see Chrvches’ new UK and Ireland tour itinerary below.

They’ve also been teasing a new project with singer Lauren Mayberry saying, “We weren’t going to tell anyone what we were doing, but one of our crew guys posted about it on the internet – like where he was and what we were up to.
“It will become clear in the coming weeks and months,” she added.
