Band release second album 'Every Open Eye' in September

Chvrches have covered Paramore track ‘Ignorance’ via the Rock Band 4 video game.

The Scottish electro-pop trio performed the song at the Gamescom trade show in Cologne, Germany. Scroll below to watch footage.

Meanwhile, the band’s second album ‘Every Open Eye’ will be released on September 25. It is the follow up to 2013’s ‘The Bones Of What You Believe’.

Chvrches recently aired new single ‘Leave A Trace’ ahead of the album’s release. Read the NME review of the track here.

“You come to it with a lot of anticipation,” instrumentalist Iain Cook told NME of the upcoming second record.

He added: “It felt like for the longest time while we were on tour we were feeling the pull to get back into the studio. It just poured out of us.

“Too many bands end up throwing away the thing people liked about them in the first place.”

Bandmate Martin Doherty added: “The album’s definitely still full of melancholy. There’s something about doing anything in Glasgow that drives you back to a kind of melancholy.”
