Chvrches announce intimate London album release show

They're heading to the House of Vans

Chvrches has announced details of an intimate album release show later this month.

The Scottish trio will play London’s House of Vans on 25 May, with the show coming on the same day that they release third album ‘Love Is Dead’.

To be in with a chance of winning, you’ll have to head to their official website to preorder the record, with all existing orders already entered in the draw.

“There are 150 pairs of tickets to be won and winners will be chosen at random & notified by email. Orders must be placed by Friday 18th May at 12.00 Noon BST to be eligible for selection”, the band stated

“If you have already pre-ordered the album via the store below you are automatically eligible and do not need to order again. You must be 18+ to be eligible for winning.”

Last week, the group spoke to NME about the release of the record, with singer Lauren Mayberry discussing the rise of global activism in the wake of Donald Trump’s election.

“As much as we talk about the negative things that are floating around the world right now, I do think that that stuff galvanises people and sparks change”, Mayberry admitted.

The singer also commented on the national school walkout against gun violence that took place in March, spearheaded by American teenagers.

“That school walkout that happened yesterday in America, that is so fucking inspiring, and I don’t know if something like that would have happened two years ago, or five years ago”, she said.

“Those things are done as a reaction to the extreme opposite. I guess it’s the darkest before the dawn.”
