Chvrches tease their return with snippet of new track

They're back...

Chvrches have teased their return with a clip of what appears to be a new track.

Posting on Instagram, the Scottish group shared a brief video of lead singer Lauren Mayberry scrawling love hearts on a window – with the clip accompanied by a piercing instrumental that eventually evolves into a synth-driven sound.

“GET IN”, they captioned the brief clip.

It’s also claimed that their comeback album will be titled ‘Love Is Dead’, after Mayberry revealed the name in a recent interview.

They are also working with Adele producer Greg Kurstin, who has driven the group in a pop-driven direction.

“He’s done such big pop records, but they’ve always got a bit of saltiness in them,” Mayberry said of Kurstin’s past work.

“He pushed what we were doing to be bigger in some ways, but he also pushed us to be weirder. He’d be like, ‘If the vocal melodies are as sweet and as precise as this, why don’t we make these other sounds so fucked up and gnarly and strange?’ I loved that.”
