Pusha T denies leaking plans for a Clipse reunion

'I don't want to mislead nobody' said the rapper in a new interview

Pusha T has denied saying he is working on a new Clipse album with his brother and Pharrell Williams.

Earlier this month (January 7), Pusha T posted an update on his official Facebook page, linking to an online story speculating on the reunion and adding: “Clipse working on a new album”.

The news report the rapper linked to claimed: “Pusha T made news recently after posting pictures of The Neptunes in the studio to Instagram, sparking speculation of a soon-to-come sophomore album. However, it has been confirmed that the photos are evidence of the Clipse, comprised of brothers Pusha T and No Malice, hard at work on an untitled independent project, ending a three-year hiatus.”

However, Pusha T has now said in a new interview that he “never leaked anything about the Clipse. I didn’t do that.” Speaking to DJ Heat via Pitchfork, Pusha added: “All I did was tell everybody that I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad. Right now I’m on my Pusha T. I don’t want to mislead nobody… but… I love my brother.”

Pusha T is currently working on a new solo album with The Neptunes. The rapper, who released the Kanye West produced ‘My Name Is My Name’ in 2013, is reuniting with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo having confirmed that he plans to name the album ‘King Push’, also a track title on ‘My Name Is My Name’.

Clipse released their last album, ‘Til the Casket Drops’ in 2009. Their 2002 debut, ‘Lord Willin’ included the tracks ‘When the Last Time’ and ‘Grindin’.
