Kings Of Leon play storming set at Coachella

The Followill boys rock the desert festival

Kings Of Leon played a strong set this evening (April 28), as the second day of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival continued.

The Followill family took to the stage at 6.15pm, their faces shiny with sweat before even playing a note, while drummer Nathan Followill boasted a freshly shaved face.

Opening with ‘Black Thumbnail’, the band showcased showcased several tracks from their recently third album ‘Because Of The Times’, including ‘McFearless’, ‘On Call’ and ‘My Party.

Watched by several famous faces including Arctic Monkeys, Kelly Osbourne, Adam Brody and The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, the band were surprised at the number of people who showed-up to see their set, and remained largely silent until the end when frontman Caleb Followill expressed his thanks to the audience for being “so receptive”.

Wearing their usual ball-busting tight jeans despite the unforgiving heat, the band sweated their way through, bringing bona fide rock back to the Valley for the duration of their set.

They played:
