The reformed band are to hit the road in June…

Cocteau Twins have confirmed that they will be playing more shows following on from their upcoming COACHELLA appearance.

The band will be reforming for the first time since 1996 at the Californian festival on April 30 on a bill which also features New Order and a href=“”>Weezer.

While details of other shows are still being worked out, Cocteau Twins are hoping to play a series of festivals and other exclusive events beginning in June and running through in the autumn.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Coachella promoter Paul Tollet was instrumental in booking the band for this year’s event – as he did for Pixies last year.

He said: “With Cocteau Twins, I just kept persevering. Their booking agent helped me with Pixies, and this year he helped me with Cocteau Twins.”
