Coldplay singer Chris Martin made a live appearance at the funeral of Beau Biden, the son of US Vice President Joe Biden.
Beau died from brain cancer on May 30 at the age of 46. His funeral was held on Saturday afternoon (June 6) in Wilmington, Delaware.
Martin performed a solo acoustic version of 2005 song ‘Til Kingdom Come’, having offered to play the event after finding out that Beau had been a fan of his band. Watch footage of the rendition below.
Meanwhile, actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently filed for divorce from Martin, having originally announced their split in March 2014.
The couple had been married for over 10 years, however Paltrow’s divorce papers claimed that the pair had been separated from as far back as May 2013. Paltrow cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reasoning for their split and is seeking joint custody of their two children, Apple and Moses.
The couple originally broke the news online in March 2014, famously labelling their split as a ‘conscious uncoupling’.
