Band will now play two London shows after first sells out in moments
Coldplay will play a second night at London’s Royal Albert Hall after their first show sold out within minutes of going on sale at 9am this morning (June 6).
The band will now play a second date, this time on July 2., with tickets going on sale at 4pm. See below for ticket details.
The two London shows are the band’s only current scheduled dates in the UK and represent Coldplay’s first UK performances since appearing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Glasgow last month. Frontman Chris Martin joined Kings of Leon onstage at the Scottish festival to play ‘Fans’ from the band’s 2007 album ‘Because Of The Times’.
Last month (May 25) Coldplay’s ‘Ghost Stories’ was named as the band’s sixth consecutive Number One album by the Official Charts Company, after selling 168,000 copies in just one week. Altogether, the band have sold 11.1 million albums in the UK since the release of their debut, 2000’s ‘Parachutes’.
