Coldplay to play London benefit for Prince Harry charity

Laura Mvula, Nico & Vinz and George The Poet will also perform for Sentebale charity

Coldplay are to perform a gig at London’s Kensington Palace for a charity established by Prince Harry.

The show on June 28 will be to 3,000 fans in the palace’s gardens. “>Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday (May 27).

Prince Harry’s charity, Sentebale, helps adolescent children living with HIV and Aids in sub-Saharan Africa.

Also playing the gig will be Laura Mvula, Nico & Vinz and George The Poet, who is a Sentebale ambassador. Other acts will be announced shortly.


Coldplay say in a statement: “We’re delighted to join Prince Harry for this very special concert and to support Sentebale’s incredible work with adolescents affected by HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.”

The concert will come two days after Coldplay headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. The UK stadium leg of their tour starts on June 4 in Manchester. Support comes from Lianne La Havas and Alessia Cara, with Reef replacing Cara for the band’s second two shows at Wembley.
