Coldplay announce North American tour

Dates follow free show at Madison Square Garden

Coldplay have announced a tour of the US and Canada to support the release of their upcoming album.

The tour, which kicks off with a free show at New York’s Madison Square Garden, will see the band in North America in July and August, returning in October and November for more dates with many more dates expected to be added to the jaunt.

The band have unveiled a string of surprises around the release of their ‘Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends’ album, including free shows in London and New York and free song downloads. You can get a free 7” vinyl version of lead single ‘Violet Hill’ with the current issue of NME.

‘Viva La Vida’ comes out June 16 in the UK and June 17 in the U.S.
