Coldplay to play tiny War Child charity gig

Band will headline intimate gig directly after playing live at Brit Awards

Coldplay have announced details of an exclusive intimate gig in London later this month (February).

The band, who were recently named Godlike Geniuses by NME and will pick up their prize at the NME Awards with Austin, Texas later this month, will headline Indigo at The O2 venue on February 24.

This is the same night as The Brit Awards. Coldplay will perform at the awards, held at The O2, before heading to the venue and playing a full gig. Money raised will go straight to War Child to help children in conflict. Tickets will be available to buy for £75 or fans are able to enter a draw by donating £4.50 to win tickets.

Coldplay released latest album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ in December and will also headline the Super Bowl half-time show with guests Bruno Mars and Beyonce on Sunday (February 7).

The Coldplay gig is part of a series of War Child affiliated dates taking place throughout February.

Bring Me The Horizon, Jack Garratt and Public Service Broadcasting all play exclusive intimate gigs across London while War Child recently announced its ‘Passport to BRITs Week’ gigs which will see the likes of Jamie xx, Florence + The Machine, Lianne La Havas and Bloc Party playing intimate shows around the capital the week before the BRITs.
