The UK SINGLES CHART takes a back seat tonight (June 12) with all eyes on one of the most impressive ALBUM CHARTS in years.

Coldplay and White Stripes went head to head this week, both releasing new albums on ‘Super Monday’ (June 6) and as predicted it is the Brits who have won out.

Coldplay’s ‘X&Y’ sits on top of the charts, while White Stripes’ ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ enters at number three.

This week also saw the release of [/a] debut album ‘Here Comes The Tears’ which has gone in at number 15, while Oasis’ album ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’ which was top last week, drops to number two.

Meanwhile in the UK Singles Chart, The Crazy Frog remains at number one, while U2’s ’City Of Blinding Lights’ is this week’s highest new entry at number two.
