Music lovers look away now…

It’s been the worst kept secret in Britain all week, but NME.COM has the dubious honour of confirming that tonight (May 29) THE CRAZY FROG has topped the UK singles chart.

The ringtone amphibian has beaten Coldplay’s comeback single ’Speed Of Sound’ into second place with his take on the ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ theme ‘Axel F’.

The top two lead the way in a strong week for new entries with Amerie, Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani and Audio Bullys all joining the Top Ten.

Further down the chart the Magic Numbers are at Number 15 with ‘Forever Lost’, The Arcade Fire are at 26 with ’Power Out’ while Coral’s ’Please Stand Up’ reaches Number 34.
