COLDPLAYhave announced Canadian MOR artist RON SEXSMITH and DALLAS-based pop group EISLEY as opening acts for their forthcoming tour of the US and Canada.
Eisley, formerly known as Mos Eisley, will accompany
Coldplay throughout the whole tour from May 20 to June13, while Sexsmith will perform from May 25 to June 13.
The jaunt includes two shows at the Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl (May 31/June 2) and New York Madison Square Garden (June 13).
Frontman Chris Martin told 947Zone.com that the band’s first tour of America in 2000 was certainly an eye-opener.
He said: “We were just, like, we’re in the movies, you know, because that’s what everybody who comes to America thinks, because that’s all you see from it. And you get there and it’s just, like, people doing their thing. It’s not like the movies really, is it?”
