Coldplay have announced details of their debut album to be released in July, and a UK tour for June.

The album is called ‘Parachutes’, and is released on July 10 through Parlophone. The album features the band’s last single, ‘Shiver’, as well as new single, ‘Yellow’ which is released on June 26, also through Parlophone.

A spokesperson for the band described the record as “mellow and tuneful”, claiming it was amongst the best debut albums to be released this year.


The final tracklisting for ‘Parachutes’ is: ‘Don’t Panic’, ‘Shiver’, ‘Spies’, ‘Sparks’, ‘Yellow’, ‘Trouble’, ‘Parachutes’, ‘High Speed’, ‘We Never Change’ and ‘Everything’s Not Lost’. The album also contains a hidden bonus track, ‘Life Is For Living’.

Coldplay have also announced details of a full UK tour in June, calling at: Leeds Cockpit (June 8) Oxford Zodiac (10) Southampton Joiners (11) Exeter Cavern (14) Leicester Princess Charlotte (15) Manchester MDH (18) London Scala (19) Bristol Fleece & Firkin (21) Cardiff Club Ifor Bach (22)

The tour is the band’s first set of live shows since their joint headline tour with Terris in March.
