Coldplay's record is thought to be called 'A Head Full Of Dreams', while Adele is expected to release '25' shortly
Chris Martin’s band released their last album ‘Ghost Stories’ in May 2014, while Adele’s ’21’ was released back in 2011.
The latest issue of Rolling Stone claims that both Adele and Coldplay will release their new albums over the next few months, labelling them as “Must-Hear Fall Albums”.
NME have approached representatives for both Adele and Coldplay seeking a response to the reports.
Coldplay have previously revealed that their seventh studio album will be titled ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’.
“It’s our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book or something like that,” frontman Chris Martin said. “Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something… I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing. Otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it.”
In December, the band unveiled a new song called ‘Miracles’ as part of the soundtrack to Angelina Jolie film Unbroken.
Adele’s new album, her third to date, is thought to be called ’25’. Producer Emile Haynie previously stated that Adele is “taking her time” on the record.
