Color Me Badd gig ends in chaos after singer is hospitalised by bandmate in onstage bust up

Bryan K. Abrams is arrested for misdemeanor assault

Color Me Badd founding member Bryan K. Abrams has been arrested after throwing singer Mark Calderon to the ground during a recent show in New York.

Footage of the show, which you can watch below, shows Abrams strolling onstage and fiercely shoving his bandmate as he sings the final notes of the group’s classic hit ‘I Wanna Sex You Up’ at the del Lago Resort & Casino.

According to TMZ, Calderon hit some sound equipment when he fell, resulting in a trip to a local hospital to treat neck and back pain. Abrams, meanwhile, was arrested for misdemeanor assault and taken to prison.

Abrams, frustrated over issues with his voice, left the stage earlier in the night.

The Blast reports that officers told them “alcohol was a factor” and Abrams screamed, “I’m motherfucking Color Me Badd!” when pushing Calderon.

Abrams reportedly posted bail and was released early yesterday morning (July 23).

Color Me Badd, who are most famous for hits ‘I Wanna Sex You Up’, ‘I Adore Mi Amor’ and ‘All 4 Love’ formed in 1985 with lead singer Abrams, second tenor Mark Calderon, second tenor Sam Watters and baritone Kevin Thornton.

They broke up in 1998 and reformed in 2010 before operating as a trio in 2016.

They released four albums before they originally split – ‘C.M.B.’ in 1991, ‘Time And Chance’, ‘Now & Forever’ and ‘Awakening’ in 1998.
