Converge reveal Japan benefit shirt

US hardcore band design samurai-style merch for Red Cross donations

Converge have created a samurai-design shirt to raise money for the Red Cross Japan Relief.

The black and red design is available from and will be on sale until April 25.

“Japan has always been a second home for Converge,” said an official statement. “Friends that might as well be family, amazing shows, and incredible memories. So this is the least they can do to help the relief efforts in honour of their appreciation for the country, the people and their friends. 100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross on behalf of Converge and Kings Road.”

In related news, the band have announced a one-off UK headline show at London‘s Islington Academy on June 14.

Support will come from female-fronted hardcore newcomers Pettybone and 33.

The show will form part of the band’s European summer tour, including a slot at Germany’s Hurricane Festival alongside Foo Fighters, Portishead and more.
