Barnett will headline London's Forum on six-date jaunt later this year
Courtney Barnett has announced details of a UK tour to take place in November and into December later this year.
The live dates will see Barnett and her band play their biggest UK headline show to date at London’s Forum on November 25 with gigs in Wolverhampton, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Bristol also confirmed. Tickets are available from 9am on Friday (May 1).
Earlier this month Barnett shared the video for her Record Store Day single, and new album ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit’ track, ‘Kim’s Caravan’. The seven-minute long video ponders on the disintegration of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Barnett recently described the emotional upheaval behind her debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit’ which was released earlier this year. The LP is technically Barnett’s first album. However, two of her EPs (‘I’ve Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris’ and ‘How To Carve A Carrot Into A Rose’) were put out together as ‘The Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas’ in 2014. Speaking to NME, the Australian singer-songwriter spoke about her album and how it reflected the last year of her life.
She said: “The album is a general overview of essentially a year of emotions – 12 months of fucking every day day, up, down, up, down. I dunno what a normal person has, but everyday I had a midlife crisis.”
Courtney Barnett will play:
Londo The Forum (November 25)
Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (27)
Manchester The Ritz (30)
Liverpool O2 Academy (December 1)
Glasgow O2 ABC (2)
Bristol O2 Academy (4)
