Smashing Pumpkins frontman provides riff for new Hole song
Exclusively playing the tracks from the forthcoming Hole album ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ to NME.COM (see below for the exclusive video), Love said that Corgan, who has been involved in the ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ project since 2005, plays the guitar riff on the rocky song ‘Samantha’.
“I knew that I needed rock songs,” Love told NME.COM about the track and its place on the album, which is due out in at the end of 2009, or possibly the start of 2010. “I don’t want to close with ‘Celebrity Skin’ every fucking night.”
Love revealed that there are 21 tracks up for inclusion on the album, including ‘Skinny Little Bitch’, the Linda Perry-penned ‘Letter To God’ and ‘Honey’, which is about her relationship with Kurt Cobain, and features the lyric “Did I not love you enough to save you from your doom?”.
