The star turns up very late indeed...
Courtney Love has angered a US judge after turning up late to her latest court appearance.
The singer was five hours late for a court hearing in New York yesterday (June 28), where she is facing a charge of reckless endangerment in relation to an incident in one of the city’s nightclubs earlier in the year. Police claim Courtney Love threw a microphone into the audience, hitting a man on the head.
Due at 9.30am, the star didn’t show until 3pm local time.
Reuters reports that New York Criminal Court judge Melissa Jackson was annoyed by the delay, and was close to branding Courtney Love a fugitive.
She said: “I want to make it clear to you that you are supposed to be in court at 9:30, not 3 o’clock. Three o’clock is not acceptable. The rule applies to you, the same as it does to everyone else.”
Courtney Love then apologised for being late.
The maximum sentence is one year behind bars if found guilty.
