This time she's got a new lawyer...
COURTNEY LOVE made a brief court appearance yesterday (February 23) with a new lawyer.
The star, who played her first live gigs in support of her debut solo LP ’America’s Sweetheart’ over the weekend, turned up to the hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court where she’s facing a misdemeanour charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance relating to an incident last October.
BBC news reports that hew new lawyer Michael Rosenstein said he needed time to become familiar with the details of the case and asked for a short delay.
Judge Patricia Schnegg agreed, and a date of March 8 has been set for the trial.
Love’s legal team say they’re “hopeful” the case will be settled before it goes to trial.
The singer denies the all the charges against her, but if found guilty could face up to a year in jail.
