The star plays songs from her new album at the LA Viper Room - as well as some old Hole classics...

COURTNEY LOVE has made a rare live appearance in LA.

The star played her first ever headline solo show at the LA Viper Rooms (February 19), which was recorded for broadcast on a local radio station.

At the gig Courtney was backed by a new band and played a selection of songs from ’America’s Sweetheart’, including forthcoming single ’Mono’, which was the opening song.

The star also found time to play a number of Jane’s Addiction songs including ’Celebrity Skin’ and ’Plump’.

Love’s recent live performances have been few and far between in recent years. After playing the last Jane’s Addiction show in 1999 Love’s only other live performances have been a solo gig supporting [a][/a] in 2001, at the London Old Vic charity show in 2003, where she dressed as Donald Duck, and finally with unsigned band Let’s Go Sailing in LA last December when she turned up unannounced and helped out on guitar.
