American press reports claim she's in hot water over an alleged assault with a deadly weapon...

Courtney Love is facing new charges in the US – this time felony assault with a deadly weapon.

According to US press reports this morning (June 9), officials claim the singer allegedly attacked a woman with a bottle and a flashlight during a party in LA on April 25.

Courtney Love is not thought to be in custody, although a spokesperson for the police said an arrest warrant has been issued.

A UK spokesperson for the star could not immediately be reached to confirm the reports.

In other news, Courtney Love’s pre-trial on felony drug possession has been postponed again.

The singer’s lawyer Michael Rosenstein turned up in court yesterday without Courtney Love, who, after filing a form with the court, does not have to turn up for court appearances on the case.

The two sides decided the pre-trial hearing would continue on July 15.

Rosenstein told reporters Love expects to beat the charges, both for illegally possessing prescription pain killers, before the case makes it to the trial phase.
