She must know it inside out by now...
COURTNEY LOVE is heading back to court.
Yesterday (August 10), as her lawyer Michael Rosenstein appeared in Los Angeles courtrooms with updates on the singer’s adherence to her probation, a prosecutor filed a new motion alleging she violated the terms of the agreement by using drugs.
Following the filing – shortly after 8.30 in downtown LA and around 10.30 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin and Judge Elden S Fox both issued bench warrants for Love’s arrest, but held them pending the singer’s mandatory appearance in court next Friday (August 19).
Speaking outside of the first courtroom, prosecutor Gina Satriano told reporters that Love engaged in taking “some sort of narcotic” last month.
It is believed the motion stems from a police report taken on July 20, after the singer was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, following an incident at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where an ambulance was called for the singer by a friend.
Judge Fox transferred his case to downtown so that Love will only have to make one court appearance next week. She is currently on probation on one misdemeanour count of assault, and another health and safety violation. As a condition of her probation, she is required to obey all laws and remain in a drug treatment programme.
